The Road to the underworld is paved with good intentions, this quote seems to fit Light Yagami a lot. He’s a genius, outstanding and known to be hardworking whom a lot of people admire. But after getting the Death Note, his personality drastically changed.

He becomes cruel and deranged, developing a god complex to get rid of all evil in the world by, well, killing all the evil in the world. It makes sense for him to go insane, after all, who wouldn’t enjoy the power trip of being able to kill anyone with just a pen on a deadly notebook?

14. Gojo Satoru From Jujutsu Kaisen

Gojo Satoru is a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High, a special grade jujutsu sorcerer and the strongest sorcerer.

Despite the nonchalant and playful attitude he has around his comrades and students, Gojo Satoru’s obsession with proving that he’s the strongest tends to lead him into a frenzied state. He’s capable of being cold blooded too, as he thinks that sacrifices are unavoidable as long as he emerges victorious.

13. Franken Stein From Soul Eater

Another teacher with a literal screw on his head. He’s a teacher and also the strongest in Death Academy. He has strong urges to dissect anything, whether he likes it or not is none of the concern.

He’s destructive and psychotic, as he can't understand human emotions that much and even has trouble controlling his madness sometimes.

12. Hisoka From Hunter X Hunter

You know this guy means trouble the moment you see him on screen. With the eccentric clown attire, Hisoka is perhaps one of the most disturbing characters on Hunter x Hunter. A pure creep with hints of masochistic tendencies too, he gets aroused in killing and spilling blood whether it’s his or his opponents.

Hisoka is a self absorbed and self fulfilling individual, he only does whatever he likes as long as it pleases him.

11. Tsukiyama Shuu From Tokyo Ghoul

The infamous Gourmet ghoul, a human meat enthusiast until he got obsessed with the smell and taste of Kaneki Ken. He has no repulsion in showing his obsession towards him, getting angered at another ghoul who tries to eat him. He even feels ecstatic sniffing the handkerchief that Kaneki used to wipe his blood off.

He joined Kaneki’s team for the sole purpose of being able to eat him, though that goal slowly fades as he slowly genuinely cares for the other.

10. Accelerator From to Aru Kagaku No Accelerator

The strongest Esper in Academy City with the power of vector manipulation. No one can literally touch him unless he wants to. He joined an experiment to be the first level 6 Esper by killing thousands of clones, which he did as ruthless and merciless as he could.

Even after being crippled due to an accident, he’s still merciless to those trying to kill him, laughing at them as he brutally exhibits his tremendous strength. Accelerator has dubbed himself as the greatest villain, despite the regrets for murdering thousands of innocent clones, he's still quick to anger and has the tendency to go out of control with his powers.

9. Darnic Prestone Yggdmillennia From Fate/Apocrypha

A man that’s driven by the goal to win the Holy Grail War. He has lived over sixty years, sustaining himself with magic in order to participate in the next Holy Grail War for the Greater Grail. He’s a greatly ambitious and greedy man, we all know what greed and power can lead a man into.

He’s willing to betray his comrades as long as his goals are met. He sees Servants as nothing but tools, will also use his command spell to do something against their will. He's also willing to sacrifice himself, as long as it'll make him faster to attain his goal.

8. Alucard From Hellsing

The strongest in the Hellsing Organization, he fights with ferocity and cruelty, sometimes even eats his opponents or leaves them humiliated or dismembered. Being immortal and invulnerable, on top of that, he’s the strongest, he’s egotistical and arrogant.

Underneath that, Alucard is envious of humans. There are some instances that show him respecting them yet there are those he loathed too. Of course, they all ended up brutally massacred by him.

7. Ladd Russo From Baccano!

A chatty murderer who finds amusement in killing people. He loves to kill people who are deemed ‘untouchable’ or ‘invincible’, finding all of it as an entertainment. He even thanks people he has killed for the entertainment.

Though don’t judge a book by its cover, while Ladd looks like your ordinary ‘brawn over brains’ type of person, he’s not a mindless killer. He’s an instantaneous person, goal oriented and relentless in achieving his victories. As killing is his most fun hobby he can indulge himself to.

6. Shigaraki Tomura From My Hero Academia

The main antagonist of the series, the direct mirror of our protagonist, Midoriya Izuku. Shigaraki has no qualms in killing the innocents, has shown a deep hatred for All for One and heroes in general, as he just wants to see them burn.

Having the personality of a ‘man-child’, he’s dependent, arrogant and selfish, even throwing tantrums and hurting himself or others when things don't go his way.

5. Yuno Gasai from Future Diary

The epitome of psychotic, the girl who made yandere a well known term. She will kill anyone who dares to touch or even look at the love of her life, Yuuki. To the point she purposefully secluded him from his friends and kidnapped him to prove that he doesn't need anyone else except her.
The length she goes for love is undoubtedly admirable yet disturbing. Her intelligence and strength isn’t something to be questioned either, as she knows different types of ways to kill someone. In a death survival game with unpredictable foes, her assistance and support might make you emerge victorious, if only you’re her Yuuki that is.

4. Junko Enoshima From Danganronpa

The mastermind behind the school killing game. Only a madwoman would put her classmates together in a deadly killing game against each other. Despair is what she truly aimed and revels in, she won’t stop until hope is lost.

Just like any mastermind, she’s cunning and intelligent. She’ll use any methods available to feel despair as she stated it’s the only emotion she enjoys. Despite all that, she’s able to feel love and care for people, even if she ended up killing them to feel greater despair.

3. Nui Harime from Kill La Kill

Don’t let her cutesy, kawaii appearance fool you, she’s much more dangerous than she seemed. She’s manipulative and powerful enough to undress one of Satsuki Kiryuin’s Elite Four with just a flick of her finger! There's nothing that satisfy her except violence and chaos, without it, she tends to get really bored and seek to one in a sadistic nature. All that sweetness lies a dangerous persona, as she's also the type to hold grudges too.

All in all, Nui isn't the person you'd like to mess with. Her childlike, jovial and happy go lucky manner is just one of her ploy to torture or perhaps destroy you for the sake of Ragyo Kiryuin’s goals.

2. Shiro from Deadman Wonderland

Up front, Shiro is a bubbly and clumsy girl. She has a childlike personality and acts like one too. Her love for sweets, especially cookies, is what keeps her energy high up almost all the time. Overall, Shiro is a sweet girl, willing to help Ganta at his lowest point and save him from near death situations without regard to her own safety.

But behind all this, lies a tortured and traumatized child who has been experimented on. Due to her past, she developed a second personality dubbed as “The Wretched Egg” or the “Red Man.” This personality is cruel and sadistic with disregard of anyone’s lives which is a polar opposite of who Shiro is.

1. Midari Ikishima From Kakegurui

She’s masochistic with suicidal tendencies. She has little disregard betting money as long as it has the risk of her being at harm. She’s very persistent, overbearing and impulsive, tends to have little restraint and not think of the consequences that might come after.

Her obsession with Jabami Yumeko is on a whole another level. It’s infatuation yet she adores and looks up to her. Midari kept a picture of Yumeko on her phone, sometimes getting excited at the thought of her just looking at her.
