Is Antiques Road Trip still being made?
Antiques Road Trip is still being made and has returned to BBC One for its 26th season.
Antiques Road Trip has managed to stay on the air for the past 25 seasons because the show has such a unique format.
Even though the television series was removed from BBC One last year, it has now returned for its 26th season. This season will end in March 2023 and features many returning and new experts.
Why do people enjoy Antiques Road Trip?
You would be forgiven for wondering why a simple television show about antiques auctions would still be on the air after 25 seasons.
But the reason why people love the show in particular, is because the show also has a surprising competition element.
Instead of simply looking at and analysing various antiques series the show, the experts on Antiques Road Trip actually compete against each other to find the item that will sell for the highest value in an auction.
The classic cars that these experts drive around in also help to add another layer of excitement to the entire show.
Is Antiques Road Trip still being made?
Over the years, though they have changed, the antique experts on Antique Road Trip have become almost like family to many loyal fans who enjoy the show.
This is also exactly why so many fans became concerned when they noticed that Antiques Road Trip had disappeared from its usual slot on BBC One in 2022.
BBC One had decided to remove the show from its usual line-up and replace it with an entirely different show.
This change came only a few years after the show had been moved from BBC Two to BBC One in 2013.
Fortunately, the show’s disappearance from BBC One was short-lived and the series has now returned to BBC One for its 26th season.
The first episode of this most recent season aired on 13 February 2023 and so far, it does not seem like there are any plans for the show to be removed from BBC One again soon.
The official Facebook page, and all of their other social media platforms, including their Instagram and Twitter pages, regularly share updates about new episodes and what fans can expect to see in future episodes of the series.
This new season of Antique Road Trip airs at 3.45 p.m. on BBC One or you can catch up on episode at any time if you are in the United Kingdom by signing into the BBC iPlayer application.
